Selwood reveals next move after premiership swansong
Geelong great and premiership captain Joel Selwood has revealed his next move, signing on as a leadership coach with NRL heavyweights Melbourne Storm.
Selwood, 34, was in high-demand this off-season after producing one of the great footballing weeks in September, leading his side to an emotion-charged premiership in his 355th and final game.
The four-time premiership star is considered one of the AFL’s greatest-ever captains and led Geelong in more games than any other player.
“I’m really excited to be joining the Storm. I’ve been watching them and been in envy of what the club has been able to achieve for a long time,” Selwood said.
